Kaieteur Sports – Tucber Park Cricket Club began their quest for championship honours in the ongoing BCB/ Orvin Mangru Construction U19 competition by trouncing Bush Lot United Sports Club by 271 runs.
In their game which was played at Bush Lot, Tucber Park batted first and made an imposing 440 for 9. Leading the way was National U 17 batsman Kevin Kisten who clobbered 205, his maiden double century. He received good support from his brother Gavin Kisten with 62. While there were contribution by Thierry Henry 38, Kurt Michael 31 and Shamar Thomas who was undefeated on 26.
In reply, Bush Lot United struggled and were bundled out for 169. Bowling for Tucber Park Gavin Kisten had a good all round performance as he returned to snare 4 wickets. Also among the wickets were Zemuel Felix with 3, while Brydon Fredericks and Gilbert Griffith bagged two each.
The competition is continuing with matches throughout Berbice. (Samuel Whyte)
