The Technical Committee of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) has named a 30-member squad of Junior Jaguars that will commence training for the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Under-17 tournament.
Guyana has been drawn in Group 3 of the competition and will play against host Dominican Republic, Barbados and Antigua and Barbuda from July 18-22.
Appointed as Head Coach is Mr. Brian Joseph who will be assisted by Ms. Chevon Monchoir with Andrew Hazel as Goalkeeper Coach. Mr. Trevor Beckles will debut as Physical Trainer while Ms. Charlene Henry is the Physiotherapist.
Preparations will begin tomorrow when the players and their parents meet with the GFF and Technical Staff at the National Gymnasium from 10:00hrs. A Physical Assessment of the players is set for Sunday morning.
Of the 30 players selected, only 18 will make the cut for the final team that will seek to win the group as the first line of business in their quest to win the Caribbean title.
