The Marian Academy Inter-House Badminton Team Championships started Tuesday at the School’s Badminton Courts.
The four houses participating are Our lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Coromoto and Our lady of Guadeloupe.
In the first rounds Group playoffs Fatima House defeated Guadeloupe House 3-2, while Coromoto House defeated Lourdes House 5-0.
The results are:
Our Lady of Fatima defeated Our Lady of Guadeloupe 3-2
Boys Singles: Randy Hamilton defeated DeAndre Springer: 21-9
Girls Singles: Nia Allen lost to Jayde DaSilva: 8-21
Boys Doubles: Jaden Totaram & Grame Carpenter defeated Alexander Ally & DeAndre Springer: 21-7
Girls Doubles: Kelliann Sauers & Nia Allen defeated Gabryel Fiedtkou & Tashauna McGarrell: 21-7
Mixed Doubles: Randy Hamilton & Kelliann Sauers lost to DeAndre Springer & Jayde DaSilva: 9-21
Our Lady of Cormoto defeated Our Lady of Lourdes 5-0
Boys Singles; Matthew Beharry defeated Zachary Persaud: 21-10
Girls Singles: Lesha Singh defeated Isabella Ramjohn: 21-18
Boys Doubles: Matthew Beharry & Vikash Mootoo defeated Roland Hamilton & Zachary Persaud: 21-11
Girls Doubles: Ashley Escarraga & Jada Mohan defeated Ella Sahai & IsaBella Ramjohn: 21-13
Mixed Doubles: Vikash Mootoo & Reba Ramlall defeated Lucas Persaud & Ella Sahai: 21-8
The Tournament continues next week Tuesday 30th October at 3:00pm.
