All is set for the return of cycling action on the West Coast of Berbice today when the Flying Ace Cycling Club (FACC) of New Amsterdam will stages the Troy’s Taxi Service 40-mile event.
The event which is sponsored by former member Tyrone Ray Kishore of Rosignol West Bank Berbice is for club cyclists only. Kishore will be on hand to send the riders off and will also assist with the presentation of prizes at the conclusion of the race.
Race time is 09:00hrs from the Taxi Service Bennet Dam base proceeds to the Weldaad Police Station before returning to its place of origin. Prizes will be awarded to the first four finishers, first Juvenile and female, first two veterans and 12-14 riders; six sprint prizes will also be up for grabs.
The females and BMX riders will be riding from Cotton tree to the finish line. Randolph Roberts is the coordinator.
