Universal DVD Club on Friday last became the seventh (7th) official sponsor of the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club (RHTY&SC).
The Company which has branches in New Amsterdam and Canje joins an elite list that consists of GT&T Cellink, Bakewell, Farfan & Mendes, Gizmos & Gadgets, Demerara Distillers Limited Pepsi and Metro Office & Computer Supplies.
The popular DVD Club in 2010 supported the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club Charity Campaign especially its weekly feeding of the less fortunate and monthly hampers for single parents programmes.
Managing Director of the Company Mr. Vickram Seubarran has committed the Company to a monthly financial contribution after the sponsorship was launched with an initial donation of $50, 000 for the month of February.
Sales Representative of the Company Mr. Khemton Mc Bean in making the presentation stated that the company was pleased to be associated with Guyana’s most progressive Youth & Sports organisation to help make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
Mc Bean disclosed that Universal DVD is committed to its corporate responsibility of giving back to society and pledged the company’s continued cooperation as he expressed delight in becoming the latest official sponsor of the club.
Club Secretary/CEO Hilbert Foster in accepting the donation noted that the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club despite being a sports organisation strongly believes in touching the lives of others.
Each year Foster stated the club invests heavily in their charity programme directed towards thousands of Berbicians. The success of this programme he disclosed depends totally on the assistance of public spirited individuals and companies.
He praised Universal DVD Club for coming forward to partner with them. Foster expressed the hope that together the two organisations can strive for excellence at all times.
