A fine half century by opener Yusuf Khan and a five wicket haul from medium pacer Roland Persaud guided Rising Star to victory over Untouchables as play in Busta twenty/20 cricket competition continued last Sunday in Bartica with one match.
At the Bartica Community Centre Ground, Rising Star batted first and made 161-6 off their allotted overs with Khan leading the way with 68 while Andrew Williams supported with 33 and Kenzo Baksh 20.
Devon Schroeder (2-24) and R. Mohabir (2-30) were the main wicket takers for Untouchables who were routed for 53 in 11 overs in reply.
Extras top scored with 18 and M. Drepaul made 16. Roland Persaud who is also a football referee snapped 5-12 and Williams 3-12 as Rising Star, who have already qualified for the final, won the game by 107 runs.
The competition continues on Sunday with President X1 facing Orient at the same venue.
