Convict escapes Mazaruni Prison
Convict who printed his way through bushes to escape the Mazaruni Prison, Kevin Lafleur.
Kaieteur News – Kevin Lafleur, 25, a robbery convict reportedly sprinted his way through bushes to escape the Mazaruni Prison on Friday last, escaping at around 13:15hrs.
Lafleur whose last unknown address is Lot 84, Providence Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara (EBD) is serving 56 months for robbery under arms. According to information disseminated from the Guyana Police Force (GPF), on Friday last, Lafleur decided to make a run for his freedom through some bushes located “aback the prisons”. Prison officers reportedly checked the area but could not find him. A joint services team has since been dispatched to the area and is carrying out search operations to recapture Lafleur.
