Kunusasha Medas-King continues to make waves in the United States Junior Track and Field arena after securing three podium finishes last weekend at the Junior Olympic games in Port Jefferson, New York.
Medas-King won the girls’ under-9 800m after registering a personal best of 3m2s.The Midas touch athletics club athlete then went on finish third in both the 400m and 1500m races. Those performances were good enough to allow Kunusasha to qualify for the prestigious Hersey’s National Junior Olympic championship games that are scheduled from July 22nd to 28th in Sacramento, California.
Kunusasha’s sister, Kcaysha, was also on the podium at the Junior Olympic games where she finished second in the 100m dash and third in both the 200m and 400m races. Kcaysha too has also qualified for the Hershey’s National Championship Junior Olympic Games.
Alpha Harrison was also part of the action. He completed the 100m-200m sprint double, while being the runner-up in the quarter mile dash. The USATF New York athlete-of-the-month of June, has also qualified.
