The Hamilton Green 84th birth anniversary nine-a-side inter-ward/village knockout football tournament will continue tomorrow at the Den Amstel Community Center ground on the West Coast of Demerara from 17:00hrs with round-of-16 matches.
In the first match, Plaisance will play Sophia (A) followed by Central McKenzie against Mahaica (17:30hrs), Newtown Kitty versus Wolves (18:00hrs), Sara Lodge versus Kuru Kururu (18:30hrs).
The final four matches will kick off from 19:00hrs in the evening with West Coast’s Uitvlugt matching skills with Stewartville which will be followed by Goed Fortune playing Agricola (19:30hrs), Crane versus Wales at 20:00hrs, while Pouderoyen will be pitted against West Side Masters in the feature match of the night at 20:30hrs.
The winners of tomorrow’s matches will advance to the quarterfinals that will be played on Sunday November 18th at the same venue.
The winner of the competition will receive $400,000, runners up, $200,000, third place $60,000 and fourth $40,000. Other individual prizes are also on offer.
