Fairfield and Paradise Bachelors Adventure SC recorded victories when the SPR Enterprise/East Coast Cricket Committee 40-over tournament continued on Sunday.
At Fairfield, the host defeated Perseverance by 52 runs. Batting first, Fairfield posted 161-8 off their reduced quota of 30 overs. Richard Chatura scored 49 (5×4) while Deonarine Chatura got 20; extras contributed 31 as Denroy Ross and Keon Francis claimed two wickets each. Perseverance were bowled out for 109 in 19.2 overs in reply. Augustine Chichester made 18 as Ramnarine Chatura snared 3-20, Richard Chatura 2-11 and Motilall Chatura 2-17.
At Paradise, the host overcame Golden Achievers by seven wickets. Golden Achievers took first strike and were skittled for 51 in 15.1 overs. Germain Martin grabbed 4-15, O. Andrews 3-8 and Joel Persaud 2-0. Playing in their first tournament, Paradise replied with 52-2 in 8.3 overs with Cladius Fraser scoring 24; Roberts (only name given) took 2-8.
