The inaugural Roy Davis Memorial dominoes competition is set to commence from tomorrow at Gaulding Place, South Ruimveldt. The competition is being hosted by the Providence Dominoes team with an entrance
fee of $10,000. One re-entry will be allowed. Teams from Bartica, East Coast Demerara and Upper Demerara are expected to rival their Georgetown counterparts for a top prize of $130,000 and a trophy sponsored by Golyn and Sons. The runner up team will receive a trophy and $60,000 and third place $30,000.
The most valuable player in the final will pocket $5,000. For more information tams can contact Mark Wiltshire on 665-5855 or Sean Davis on 622-7161. The competition is being held in memory of former president of the East Bank Demerara Dominoes Association the late Roy Davis.
