The annual Flex Night International event will take place on Sunday December 6 at the National
Cultural Centre. Athletes and coaches from gyms in Demerara and Berbice are all invited to an important briefing this Saturday November 14th, from 14:00hrs at the Guyana Olympic Association headquarters on High Street, Kingston.
This year’s Flex Night event is expected to renew the traditional and friendly rivalry between male and female bodybuilders from Guyana and Suriname. Suriname is expected to send a larger contingent to this year’s Flex Night, since both the Gym Expo held in October and the Mr. Suriname competition scheduled for November 21, will have pre-selected both male and female athletes for participation in the Flex Night event.
Making a special appearance at this year’s Flex Night event will be Guyana-born, but now US-based Timeon Peters. Peters is coming with one aim – to take the Mr. Flex Night title back with him to the United States. Top bodybuilders from Guyana and Suriname are dead set on denying Timeon that privilege including defending champion, Godfrey Stoby.
Athletes, coaches and media reps are invited to make a special effort to be at the Guyana Olympic House on Saturday from 14:00hrs for the briefing.
