Terry Stewart, of Triumph, East Coast Demerara, will have to spend the next three years in prison, after he pleaded guilty when he appeared before Magistrate Rondel Weever, at the Blairmont Magistrate Court on Monday.
Stewart was carrying marijuana in his backpack. According to the prosecution, on September 20, at D’Edward Village, West Bank Berbice, Stewart was observed behaving in a suspicious manner.
He was stopped and searched by the police and the drug found.
