A father of three was yesterday jailed for four months by Magistrate Annette Singh after he stole an RCA Tablet from an 11-year-old.
Omar Stephens pleaded guilty after the charge was read to him at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court. On May 25, last, at East Street, North Cummingsburg, Georgetown, Stephens stole the $15,000 Tablet from the juvenile.
Police Corporal, Adduni Inniss, the Prosecutor, informed the court that the article was not recovered. Stephens was unrepresented by an Attorney at the court hearing.
In mitigation, Stephens pleaded with the court to be lenient with him, since the mother of his children is not working at the moment.
