A source close to the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club speaking with Kaieteur Sport yesterday confirmed the arrival of the Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados competitors who will be participating in Sunday’s Seaboard Marine Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC), at the South Dakota Circuit.
According to the source, the two teams along with competitors from Jamaica, Suriname and the USA will attempt to wrestle home advantage from the Guyana team that will have the benefit of a huge outpouring of fans for support.
T&T will have in its line-up Paul Vieira, Randy Mohamed, David Lyons, Steve Hosein, Zack Waddell, Mootie Maharaj, Winston Medford, Yazid Ali, Haresh Nanan, Aqueeb Ali and Damian Nesbit, while Barbados will be led by the experienced Stuart and Mark Maloney, Mark and Kurt Thompson, Edward Corbin, Quincy Jones and Daryl Clarke.
It is also known that Jamaicans David Summerbell Jnr. and Peter Rae are confirmed, while Suriname’s Oliver Tjin Liep Shie will be present as well.
