Police are in possession of two Russian-made concussion grenades which were found in Le Repentir Cemetery on Thursday.
Personnel from the Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) found the grenades and other items in a bag along one of the main roadways in the cemetery.
A source said that the cemetery is often used to stash illicit items, including drugs and guns, and that the CANU ranks were searching for narcotics when the find was made.
A brief police release said that the CANU personnel were conducting a search in the cemetery while acting on information.
The devices and other items have been handed over to the police who are conducting further investigations.
