– GBCHA launches call for entries
The Guyana Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, according to a release from the entity, has launched a call for entries for the Annual Awards for Business Excellence Gala Event which will be hosted on May 21, next, at 6:30 pm in the Savannah Suite of the Guyana Pegasus.
It was emphasized that the call is extended to all private sector companies who are taking action to address HIV and AIDS in the workplace or community, not just GBCHA member companies.
Launched in May 2008, the Guyana Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GBCHA) is a rapidly expanding alliance of organizations dedicated to combating the HIV/AIDS epidemic through the unique skills, expertise and contributions of the private sector.
The Awards for Business Excellence is a significant event for the GBCHA, and is seen by the entity as an unparalleled opportunity to publicly recognize the unique and essential contributions the awardees have made in the fight against HIV and AIDS in Guyana.
Following are the categories in which Awards will be bestowed:
Category 1) Workplace Programmes
The winner of this award will have demonstrated their commitment to addressing HIV/AIDS and combating stigma and discrimination through the implementation of workplace policies and programmes.
