– Mae’s record most impressive win of the day
Inaugural champions St. George’s suffered defeat at the hands of St. John’s College as play in the 4th Annual Milo Under-20 Schools Football Competition continued yesterday, at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue.
St. George’s, traditionally one of the strongest teams in the competition looked a shadow of the team that was once among the most feared units in the competition, but found the going tough against a formidable St. John’s side, succumbing by a 3-2 margin.
The most impressive performance of the day, however, was recorded by Mae’s, who destroyed Freeburg 5-0 to send an ominous warning to the other teams in their group.
