With their return to top flight rugby imminent, the national female squad has been intensifying preparations ahead of the NACRA Sevens scheduled to be staged from June 13-14 in North Carolina, USA.
The provisional squad which is being prepared under the watchful eyes of former national players Laurie Adonis and Elwin Chase engaged in a scrimmage over the weekend in observance of International Women Day, at the National Park Playfield.
The female ruggers are former three-time NACRA champions, but have been absent from the tournament for the past three years (since 2011) and will no doubt be eager to make a triumphant return to one of the biggest tournaments in the Region.
The warm-up game was played in the 7s format, the same arrangement for the tournament in the USA and according to a release the ladies will continue to train everyday leading up to departure.
