The trio of tournament MVP Drexel Aaron (12 points), Kwame Fox and Mark Richards
with 9 points each combined to deliver the winner’s trophy to Prospect Jammers when the IMC of the East Bank Basketball Association (EBBA)/Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) sponsored Inter Village competition concluded on March 19th at the Covent Garden Secondary School Basketball Court.
Having won their previous four matches in the round-robin competition that attracted five Villages, Prospect went on to trounce Bagotsown in the final, 37-27. Even the combined efforts of Jermaine Reid who tipped in the top score of 10 points and teammates Jermaine Slater and Sherwin Lawson 9 apiece could not keep Bagostown from losing.
In the third place match, Mocha defeated the combined McDoom/Agricola. This competition saw the welcome return of competitive basketball to the East Bank and was coordinated by Wayne Francois.
The other competing village in the competition which bounced off on March 13th at the same venue was, Herstelling.
