The respective semifinals in the Raj Singh Insurance/Trophy Stall sponsored Demerara Cricket Board (DCB) Over-40 T20 competition will be played today with Lower East Coast Bulls taking on West Bank Demerara Mavericks while Upper East Coast Tigers clash with West Coast Demerara Seals.
The battle between Bulls and Mavericks will be contested at the Demerara Cricket Club ground, with the clash between Tigers and Seals set for the Enmore Community Centre ground. Both matches commence at 13:00hrs.
Following preliminary round play, Bulls finished at the top of the points table with 27 followed by Tigers one point back, Seals notched up 18 and Mavericks 17. In addition to their three victories (12 points), Bulls amassed 11 bonus points for exceptional achievements. They also suffered one loss, one tie (2 points) and two no-results (2 points).
Tigers recorded four victories (16 points), one loss, two no-results (2 points), and eight bonus points. Seals won three, lost two, two no-results and had four bonus points. While Mavericks won two, lost one, tied one, had three no-results, and accumulated four bonus points.
The winners of these matches will collide in the final at the Everest Cricket Club ground on Friday November 29, 2013, from 13:00hrs.
