Krishna Deosarran (100*) and Brain Sattaur (93) highlighted the latest East Coast Cricket Board Rockaway Auto Sales sponsored 40 overs Premier Cricket League last weekend.
Lusignan A defeated Strathaven by 172 runs in the semi-finals of the 40 overs Premier League after scoring 337 runs. Deosarran lashed five fours with six sixes while Sattaur hit fourteen fours and three sixes before his dismissal. Harrinarine Hira had 66 with seven fours and three sixes.
Bowling for Strathaven was G. Hemraj who captured two wickets for 76 off 8 overs.
Strathaven were all out in 32.1 overs as G. Sugrim had 53 runs and G. Hemraj 40. Lusignan A’s Emran Khan and Azam Haniff had 4 for 45 of 6.1 overs and 4 for 50 off 8 overs respectively.
Buxton decimated LBI in their round of the 40-over Premier League by 55 runs after attaining 255 for 5 off 35 overs. Rawlie Fredricks had cataloged 81 runs as Ryan Muesa scored 58. Clive Andries supported with 45 as Marvin Cato had 41.
Yogesh Bishoo captured two wickets for LBI at a cost of 31 runs. Nizam Khan took three wickets for 31 off 5 overs.
LBI made 200 runs in their innings and were all out in 30.2 overs; Bishoo (17), Javed Campbell (16) and Parmanand Rampersaud (20) were the main scorers. Kevin Abrams snatched four wickets from LBI as Andries took three and Fredricks 2.
Meanwhile, Lusignan defeated Strathaven in the 20/20 Premier League as Fairfield conquered Dochfour in the Super League.
Lusignan registered 154-8 off their 20 overs. Harrinarine Hira had 42 as Narvan Singh was 32 not out. Ken Alphonso took three wickets for 36 off four overs for Strathaven.
Strathaven were all out in 16.1 for 73 runs.
Fairfield scored 147 runs to win the Super League against Dochfour’s 99.

Bowling for Fairfield; Richard Chaturia 4 for 5 off 3 overs including a Hat-trick; Cheddie Seetaram 2 for 14 off 3.4 overs and Mohan Bissoon 2 for 24 off 3 overs were the wicket takers.
