Guyana’s road fatality figure continued its spiral upwards, when a motorcyclist lost his life on Avenue of the Republic around 23:00 hours on Saturday.
Police in a press statement yesterday said that they are investigating a fatal accident which resulted in the death of Elvis Singh, 53, of Non Pariel, East Coast Demerara.
According to the police, investigations revealed that Elvis Singh was riding his motorcycle along the roadway when he rode into a pool of water and lost control.
He fell and received severe injuries and was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
