The badly decomposed body of a 64-year-old man believed to be a destitute is lying in the Le Repentir Cemetery in the area that once housed the mortuary.
The body of the man was identified as Leon Brutus who lived in an abandoned bus aback of Section K Campbellville was discovered yesterday.
Kaieteur News understands that Brutus’s body was discovered after persons began experiencing a foul smell emanating from the yard in which the bus is parked.
Upon investigating, they saw what was left of Brutus’s body in the old vehicle.
Sources informed this newspaper that Brutus’s body was so badly decomposed, that he must have died about a month ago.
Investigators could not determine if there were any marks of violence on the body and are awaiting the results of a post mortem examination.
