Mc Gill Superstars and Transport Sports Club will go head to head in the final of the Demerara Cricket Board Hand-in-Hand second division 50-overs knock-out cricket competition at Everest on Saturday after completing victories in their semi-final matches.
At the Canal Number Two Sports Club ground on Saturday, hosts McGill defeated Nandy Park of East Bank by three runs after making 86 and dismissing the visitors for 83 in 36 overs.
Mahadeo Ramataur (13) and Ramesh Persaud were the only batsmen to reach double figures for Mc Gill as W. Ramjattan took 3-26 and got support from Lokeshwar Mahadeo (2-14) and Abdul Razak (2-14).
Budram Sugrim then captured 3-15 with his off-spin as Nandy Park just failed to reach their victory target. F. Williams and Neil Richardson were the only batsmen to reach double figures in a losing effort.
