From October 23 to October 27, the promoters of the annual Yankee All White Boat Cruise and GT Memoirs will host a grand Guyanese inspired Halloween Festival.
It will take place at the Yankee All White Fright Centre located at Lot 76 Market Street, East Ruimveldt. The event is intended to be an exciting and new way to get Folklore back into the hearts of Guyanese.
Students with their guardians are invited to come walk through the edu-tainment Fright Maze and learn about the many Scary Jumbies found in Guyanese Folklore from 3pm to 8pm daily.
They can have their faces painted with their favourite Jumbie by Bravo Arts and have the satisfaction of knowing that they are supporting a good cause since the proceeds from the Halloween Fright Fest will be going to the Prevention of Teenage Suicide (POTS) Guyana.
The festival is sponsored by Sueria Manufacturing Inc., Azzie Biko Clothing and Leon Gilegous, Carol Wills and Wonda Grant.
