On September 4th, 2017 the young ones from ‘Bless the Children’ Home will head out to school with supplies sponsored by Giftland OfficeMax.
Giftland, on Tuesday last, in its “giving back to the nation” drive, donated school supplies to the entity, located at Industry on the East Coast of Demerara.
In keeping with its priority to build the nation, specifically children, the company donated back-packs and stationery.
The home’s 28 children, ranging between the ages of six to 18, were all able to benefit from a day at the Giftland Mall, with refreshments from Rooster’s and recreation in the Universal Play Park within the vicinity, where they took advantage of rock climbing and a trampoline, along with samples of cotton candy.
According to a Giftland representative, “William Wordsworth says in his poem ‘Rainbow’, ‘Child is the father of man’, and this will be true in the case of the children, we can make or break our society by the way we care for and share with our children. Our Company continues to endeavour for the benefit of the society by building this nation”.
The team extended gratitude to their chairman along with all the others who made the venture a success, and which will create memories not only for the company, but in the hearts of the children.
