Sunday gone was Father’s Day and a lady who husband dead a while ago and lef she wid couple children, call in pun de radio programme.
She seh she was asking God fuh help she out because she got nuff mouth to feed and she deh terrible.
Jagdeo best friend, Babbie, was listening and he hear wha de woman seh. Right away he call he secretary and instruct her to get on to de radio station, and find out wheh de woman who call in and ask God fuh help, live.
He then tell de secretary when she find out, to go to de market and buy a good set of stuff and carry it wheh de woman live. Do secretary do everything Babbie tell she to do.
De tun up at de lady house wid goods, not only fuh Father’s Day, but fuh last she more than a month. De lady was so happy that she smile wid all she teeth and she toes. She hair pun she head stand up to show how happy she happy.
Dem pickney start to jump fuh joy when dem see so much food including apple and grapes. De secretary was smiling and de lady thank she.
Then de secretary ask de lady if she don’t to know who send de goods. De lady look at de secretary, shake she head and seh, “I know when God command even de devil got to obey.” Babbie did obey.
Jagdeo, de other devil, was handling de phone calls that day. He did give away too. He give de same Babbie a whole complex fuh free, and ee give Gouveia a whole hotel fuh dem sleep.
In fact, he nearly give away de whole of Guyana.
