Over the weekend police conducted several drug raids in the Berbice River, during which five acres of marijuana farm was discovered and destroyed by fire on Saturday.
The plants ranged between two and seven feet.
Lawmen also found over 600 kilograms of dried cannabis and five camps.
These were also destroyed.
However, no one has been arrested in relation to these discoveries.
A search was also conducted on a house in the Berbice River by members of a police river patrol on Saturday.
An unlicensed single barrel shot gun and five live twelve gauge cartridges were found.
Additionally, the police raided a house at Enmore, East Coast Demerara on Saturday and found an unlicensed 9mm pistol and 19 live 9mm rounds.
Two males have been arrested in relation to the illegal guns and ammunition find and are currently in police custody assisting with investigation.
