A 36-year-old man was pronounced dead at the Mahaicony Cottage Hospital on Sunday after he was pinned by a tractor.
According to information reaching this newspaper, Rohan Rampersaud, was hooking up the tractor to a trailer at St Cuthbert’s Mission in the Mahaica River when he somehow got pinned by the tractor.
By the time anyone noticed, he had already suffered severe injuries. Villagers freed his almost lifeless body from under the tractor and rushed him out of the village by boat.
When he got to the hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival. His body is at the Lyken Funeral Home.
