Secretary of the Guyana United Youths Development Association of New York, (GYUDA) Ms. Beryl James has presented a
cheque of US$2, 000 to the president and founder of the African Educational and Cultural Association Elfreda Munroe, to aid in the sponsorship of 20 students who will be attending the Essequibo Technical Institute, in September.
James explained that GUYDA is a nonprofit organization, based in New York whose mission is to assist in the educational, social and total development of student development in Guyana and to a lesser extent, the Caribbean and New York.
Beryl James is a resident of Henetietta Village and the United States, whose interest is on the development of young people.
