President’s College student, Shemon Gittens, continued his dominance in the local race-walking arena when he walked the race of his life to romp home first from a field of competent walkers.
The event was the Cavaliers Sports and Tour Club Forbes Burnham Anniversary Race Walk from that school’s entrance to the Golden Grove Market and back to its place of origin on Sunday February 22.
Gittens was duly presented with the Ming’s Products and Services trophy while Enoch Alicock and Jushawn Bailey received medals after finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively. Jennel Gildhari was the first female to cross the line while Anatha Williams and Dashana Reid finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The day’s activities were organized by the subject association as part of its 2015 Mashramani programme.
