After a somewhat lengthy absence from the scene, the executives of the Georgetown Turf Club, Mocha EBD, will return to the fray with a grand gymkhana scheduled for their East Bank facility on Sunday March 25.
Activities are a precursor for a race meet slated for April 22 at the same venue. This event will have prizes valued at over $M1.7.
Those visiting the March 25 occasion are assured of top action as the feature events will pit cart horses as well as those in the unclassified category. They will compete for prize monies in excess of $240,000.
The day’s activities will also include a raffle drawing where patrons will cart off lucrative prizes including a first prize of one 21” television set. The second place prize is one DVD Player, while the third prize is one stand fan. The fourth place prize is a food hamper.
Those interested in participating in the event may contact Nigel James (690-4877 or 665-5611) for further information.
