Guyana’s Under-17 Lady Jags suffered an 8-0 whipping at the hands of Trinidad and Tobago’s Soca Princesses in their first game of the Round Two action in the CONCACAF Women’s World Cup Qualifying competition yesterday afternoon at the Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex, Kingston, Jamaica.
The experienced ladies from the Twin Island Republic, who have been playing as a unit since last year (many based in Colleges in the USA), scored four goals either side of play to shut out the inexperienced but energetic Guyanese girls.
Based on reports out of Jamaica, the Guyanese girls played well but were outdone by the strong ladies from the Twin Island Republic. More details in tomorrow’s edition.
