The preliminary inquiry (PI) into the murder of 16-year-old Queen’s College student, Neesa Lalita Gopaul, continued yesterday with Corporal Floyd Hosanna being cross-examined by Attorney at Law Vic Puran.
Hosanna had previously testified about certain events leading up to the arrest of the two defendants, Jarvis Small and Bibi Gopaul.
The matter is being heard before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, and is scheduled to continue on September 13.
Small, a gym instructor, and Gopaul, the teen’s mother, are accused of killing the girl between September 24 and October 2, last year, at Madewini on the Soesdyke/Linden Highway.
Neesa Gopaul went missing on September 23, last. Her mother made a report at the Leonora Police Station two days later. The girl’s body was subsequently found at the deserted Emerald Towers Resort.
