Thirty-year-old Linden Green was yesterday afternoon rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was stabbed twice in the region of his chest, by a known assailant.
Reports reaching this newspaper indicate that the injured man was at home when the suspect, who was armed with an ice pick, ran into the yard and stabbed him.
His mother, Pamela Green, said that the suspect, who is known as “Pelley”, and her son had an altercation earlier in the day but never thought that it would have reached so far.
The woman said that her son was in the yard when the suspect who was armed with an ice pick rushed in and stabbed her son.
She said after the suspect had stabbed her son, he ran out of the yard in a northerly direction.
Her son was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital by relatives and friends. He was immediately rushed into the Accident and Emergency Unit where doctors were trying to stabilise his condition.
Hospital sources told this newspaper that the ice pick missed Green’s heart but not by much.
Up to press time he was still in the Emergency Unit of the hospital where doctors were preparing him for surgery.
