– Beating Kings B 12-9 in final
Kaieteur News – Kwakwani Untouchables are winners of the Kings Basketball Club innovative Under-17, 4 x 4 Linden Club Basketball Tournament, following their victory on Saturday at the Retrieve Hard Court.
Playing in the final, the Untouchables spearheaded by Travis Lewis, won 12-9 against Kings B after both sides won their semifinal matches against Kidrock and Victory Valley Royals B. Lewis scored eight of this team’s winning score.
The Kidrock side then defeated Royals for third place, 9-4.
Trophies and replicas were donated by United States-based Gary Stephens and the Brusches Basketball Foundation.
The Untouchables team were Dequan Blair, Natalia Clarke, Aaron Kioga, Cordel Hoyte, Travis Lewis and Petal Leacock.
All the clubs were required to have at least one female player on court throughout the tournament.
