Payless Allstars defeated Savage XI by 53 runs when the teams collided in a 15 overs softball fixture on Sunday last at the Georgetown Cricket Club Ground, Bourda. Batting first, Payless Allstars managed 112-6.
Gary Singh made 22 while Puran John contributed 19. Vivakanand Ramsaywack claimed 3-14. Savage XI were bowled out for 59 in reply. Rawl Reid and Troy Ramsaywack made 11 each while Vishnu Geedwan snared 3-6, Devindra Deosaran 2-3 and Zameer Hassan 2-13.
The game which was held in observation of GCC member Raj Jai 50th birth anniversary was sponsored by Stars Party Rentals, Payless Variety Store, Perfect Print and Guyana Committee of Services.
