Independence SC, Zeeburg, All Youths registered victories when the latest round of matches in the West Demerara Cricket Association U-19 5-over tournament concluded recently.
At Joe Vieira Park, Cold Fusion batted first and were bowled out for 91 in 21 overs. Kenny Holder made 24 as Ajita Persaud claimed 5-6 and Deonauth Deochan 3-15. Independence SC responded with 92-4 in 26 overs. Aaron Seepersaud got 33; Parsuram Binand claimed 4-14.
At Zeeburg, the home team took first strike and managed 171 all out in 24 overs. Ushardeva Balgobin struck 88 as Navendra Persaud captured 5-24. In reply, Belle Vue were sent packing for 93 in 18 overs. Navendra Persaud made 24; Shefeek Mohamed snared 4-12, Andre Seepersaud 3-6 and Mohamed Khan 3-11.
At La Grange, All Youths scored 144 all out in 19 overs, batting first. Robin Budram made 52 while Navindra Singh got 21; Troy Persaud grabbed 5-9 and David Sears 2-20. Mc Gill were bowled out for 121 in 24 overs in reply. Lyan Lucas made 29, Sears 23 and Troy Persaud 21. Navindra Persaud picked up 5-38.
