Police say that they are investigating the circumstances in which a Surinamese national died after he fell out of lorry in Berbice yesterday afternoon.
According to police yesterday, at around 16:15hrs, Richie Debideen, 25 years, of Nickerie, was a passenger in a motor lorry transporting equipment along the roadway at No. 51 Village, Corentyne, when he came into contact with a wire across the road.
He fell out of the vehicle and was taken to the Skeldon Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
