A 22-year-old man is counting his lucky stars after he rode into the path of Bedford truck, and walked away with minor injuries yesterday afternoon.
The man, Vishal Rampargass, of 91 A Group Squatting Areas was rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Center nursing a cut to his forehead.
Eyewitness yesterday told Kaieteur News, that the young man was riding his bicycle when he ended in the path of the truck.
One eyewitness said that Rampargass appeared to be been under the influence of alcohol when the accident happened.
Rampragass refuted the claim that he was drunk when the accident happened.
He said that he signaled the truck driver that he was attempting to cross the road, but the driver disregarded his signal. He was picked up and by public-spirited persons and taken to the hospital.
