St. Ignatius Secondary schools Inter-house athletics championship in Region 9 produced outstanding individual performances, while Cassou house successfully defended their title with 1099 points.
In the process they defeated Keary house with 931 pts and London third on 779 pts in a keen tussle among the houses.
In some of the notable performances on the day, Dwayne Frank pulled off an extraordinary upset by winning the boys under-20 200m sprint against defending champion Royston Alleyne.
Allen took first in the boys under-20 Long jump and tied for first in the boys under-20 100m dash. He also entered unexpectedly in the males under-20 800m race and powered to victory.
Shannon Landry returned to competition after a 3 year set back due to injury. He easily won the boys under-20 high jump and tied with defending champion Royston Alleyne in the 100m dash.
Defending champ Lynette Feidtkou came up with an expected triumph in the under-20 female high jump and 100m.
Keola Younge etched a win with a photo finish in the female under-16 400m race.
