Magistrate Hazel-Octive Hamilton yesterday remanded Gromiyko Gomes to prison on a charge of discharging a loaded firearm.
The accused allegedly shot at police Detective Constable Odel Percival while attempting to resist arrest, on February 13, last.
Also in the court yesterday Magistrate Octive-Hamilton remanded another man to prison after he was charged with two counts of robbery under arms.
Mark Isaac is accused of robbing Nandranie Dookie of a gold chain valued $7,500 while armed with a cutlass. The incident reportedly occurred on July 7 last.
It is also alleged that on July 4 he stole one electric drill, one electric saw and a quantity of Christmas decorations, and a quantity of baby clothing, all property of Omesh Sukhram. Both charges were indictable and the accused was not required to plead.
The 37-year-old Isaac, who told the court he lives at 168 Thomas Street, Kitty, will make his next court appearance on July 30.
