Oswald Grundall who had been reported missing in Wednesday’s edition of this publication, yesterday morning turned up at the Mackenzie Police Station, safe and sound, according to informed sources.
“The man said he went to Mahaica to visit relatives, and after he see the story in the papers he decide to go to the station and clarify things, a source said.
His estranged wife Coretta Bourne said that she is relieved that Grundall is safe.
Police in Linden had picked up a car belonging to Grundall and had lodged it at the Mackenzie Station. He had not been seen since Monday.
Known as ‘bag man’, the 56-year-old Canvas City resident’s car was removed from Berbice Road where it had been parked.
Grundall would reportedly park on Berbice Road in order to conduct his business, which involved the vending of Styrofoam boxes among other items. He formerly lived at Handenveldt, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara, before relocating to Linden.
