Berbice Under-13 elite squad
Meanwhile, the junior Selection Committee of the BCB as part of its developmental programme has named an elite 20-member squad for further coaching development and skills training.
The squad was named following the conclusion of the Poonai Pharmacy sponsored Under-13 Inter Zone tournament.
Selection Committee Chairman Leslie Solomon in announcing the team, stated that players were selected based not only on their performance but also on personal discipline, commitment and promise for the future.
Chairman of the Board’s Special Events Committee Hilbert Foster disclosed that the Board would be organising special sessions for the elite squad in the near future which would enable them to be educated on topics of importance to them while coaching sessions would also be held regularly as these players have the potential to represent the county and Guyana from the Under-15 to senior levels.
The full squad: Arif Chan, Mahendra Mangal, Karran Singh, Manoj Looknauth, Daniel Lewis, Brandon Persaud, Nicholas Cameron, Grisean Grant, Harrykish Bissoondial, Derek Narine, Thomas Mc Donald, Viendra Goonia, Rishi Persaud, Askshay Homraj, Marlon Shepherd, Leon Andrews, Gary Millington, Randolph Davis, Hakeem Hinds, Kierre Henry, Niall Smith and Shimron Hetmyer.
