The final DDL-sponsored chess tournament for the year, the ‘Emancipation Chess Tournament,’ will be played on Saturday and Sunday August, at the Keishar’s Sport Club, on Camp and Hadfield Street, Georgetown.
The tournament will take the Swiss format and consists of eight-rounds. Each player will have 75 minutes on his clock per game. Registration starts at 9:30 am, while play will commence at 10 am. Players are reminded to walk with their chess boards and clocks.
The tournament will be played in the junior and senior categories. For more information players can contact Tournament Director Irshad Mohamed on 664-1650.
