At approximately 19:00 hours on Friday, there motorists escaped death when their vehicles collided on the Stewartville Public Road, not far from the Leonora Police Station.
No one was seriously injured in the accident, but the motorists were all taken to the Leonora Diagnostic Centre for precautionary examination.
According to sources, one of the vehicles was attempting a U-turn on the road when another of the others collided with it. The third vehicle, attempting to avoid the collision, ended up driving off the road.
The police reportedly responded quickly, and removed the vehicles from the roadway.
Once in the police station, the occupants of one of the cars made quick work of removing the elaborate sound system from their vehicle.
According to persons who were in the area when the accident occurred, speeding was one of the primary reasons for the accident.
