President Ali on his $300,000+ US$ trip to the USA to counter a conference held by black organizations when asked at a meeting, why the PPP/C discontinued the school bus program started under Ex-President Granger responded by saying, this was to ensure mini-bus drivers earned a living. Lunacy is evident since every country except Guyana has a public and private transportation system. He also doesn’t seem to understand if Guyanese get their rightful share of their wealth, mini-bus drivers can afford to park their buses at home, resulting in less traffic congestion along with fewer traffic fatalities.
VP Jagdeo’s lunatic response to not ring-fencing oil projects is that he doesn’t want to collect money now, but to get a bigger bone in the future. Yet this is the only thing he is doing differently than his master, handler, and advisor ExxonMobil, who is taking their money now and laughing all the way to the bank. The opposition, instead of providing a comprehensive plan on how to manage Guyana’s oil and resources wealth to benefit Guyanese, and to bring back some sanity to this country, has chosen nonsensical harping about rigged elections, installed government, and following the lunacy allegations on government from one Brian Max. Guyanese of all walks of life home, and abroad are celebrating the ICJ ruling on the Guyana border issue with Venezuela, finally Guyanese united are celebrating Guyana’s sovereignty.
But what about Guyana’s sovereignty within its borders that Guyanese seem to have missed? The fact is that foreign exploiters own the oil fields, the gold fields, the diamond fields, the other mineral fields, every piece of valuable land, the public infrastructure, and most importantly, Guyana’s MPs. What sovereignty Guyana can celebrate when ExxonMobil openly says, they will not abide by Guyana’s court rulings, since they can see the spineless Bar Association who have now awakened on the border issue. The attitude of the Bar Association on the foreign exploitation of Guyana’s resources reminds me of a rum shop called the Donkey Bar. The lunacy continues when a billion-dollar contract can be given to Critic, a so-called journalist who now labels himself as an industrial contractor.
The lunacy continues with the US Army giving Guyana a quarter billion US$ tent called a mobile hospital. Why not add a mobile mortuary too, since Guyana’s military is outmanned, and outgunned compared to its neighbors so in any conflict Guyana’s military will be decimated? Why doesn’t the US Army sell Guyana short-range ballistic missiles? This will stop neighboring conflicts before they even begin. Guyana’s soldiers wouldn’t need a mobile medical hospital. Also, this won’t cost the US Army anything since Guyana’s oil can more than pay for this. The border issue has woken up all Guyanese and national songs are blasting on the airwaves, The Tradewinds “Not a Blade of Grass” is now even remastered, but I have to play my national song, it’s from the singer Wataflo called “Guyana is oil-rich and punishing so long”, with all the border issue going on, the 6th oil project seems to have been approved without any opposition.
So, Guyanese get ready for more lunacy every time an oil project is up for approval, as there will always be something to distract you all. Instead of the MPs attending to critical issues concerning Guyana’s wealth like renegotiation, royalty, taxes, ring-fencing, full liability insurance, interest rate cap, monitoring meters, accountability, transparency, and civil rights, the MPs have resorted to lunacy. APNU name calls the PPP/C like “Jagabats, “Trench Crapos” and “Cre-ke-tes”, not to be outdone, the PPP/C responds with “lowlifes”, “criminals” and “hungry-bellies”. Guyanese, this is the lunacy you vote for, support or stay silent while this lunacy thrives.
In every village regardless of racial demographics, there seems to be a mini-VP Jagdeo running things, mostly intimidating, and assaulting those critical of the PPP/C’s lunacy government. There is a new lunacy from these mini Jagdeos, where Venezuelans are being stripped naked and paraded, being accused of stealing. If this is the correct punishment for theft, then most MPs and executives of foreign companies should also be stripped and paraded naked. Why are Guyanese silent on this degradation of human beings being stripped naked? Because it was said by a PPP/C MP? Not only Guyanese are silent, but those in the foreign embassies who boast of human rights, are they silent because they did the same to natives and black people in their history? Or, they must give despotic leaders the right to do anything once they can exploit a country’s resources? Guyanese in their aura of lunacy only care about those who have expensive vehicles, big houses, and money, for this Guyanese have given up their spirituality, morality, humanity, decency, and responsibility of caring citizens. There continues to be so much lunacy in Guyana, yet this is not a lunar year, what will happen in Guyana when it’s a lunar year?
Sincerely,
R. David
