Kaieteur News – The Trophy Stall Independence 10/10 Softball competition commences today at 10:00hrs at Karrau Village ground in Bartica.
The competition which is being organised by the Region Seven Softball Cricket League involves four male and eight female teams.
In the male category, Karrau will play Royal Strikers and Tyube Knight Riders will face Batavia 5 Stars.
In the female division, Batavia 5 Stars will take on Kartabo Power Rangers, Karrau will match skills with Agatash Sunrisers, Itaballi Golden Eyes will face Goshen Female SC and Epic Blasters SC will play Fal Mouth New Uprisers.
The winning teams in both categories will take home a trophy and a cash prize, while the runners up will receive a trophy and cash incentive. The best dressed team, the player with the highest individual score and the player of the man in the final will each be given a trophy. The competition will conclude on Sunday at the Bartica Community Center ground.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Region 7 Softball League Edward Skeete has expressed gratitude to CEO of Trophy Stall, Ramesh Sunich, and said a keen competition is expected.
