UG Wolves would be looking to take a commanding lead when they face Yamaha Caribs in the GRFU 15’s League today. UG are leading the tournament with 17 points, while Caribs are in second position on 14 points. When the two teams meets in the first round of the league, Yamaha Caribs got the upper hand over UG wolves.
UG head the points table following outstanding performance over Police Falcons when they defeated them 99-0 in the league last Saturday, while Pepsi Hornets when down to Yamaha Caribs 14-12.
Games would be played at the National Park Rugby Field starting at 4:00pm.
The GRFU 15’s first division league is sponsored by Telephone giant, GTT.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:
Meanwhile, under new Amended Constitution Governing over rugby, the Guyana Rugby Union would be holding its Annual General Meeting tomorrow Sunday February 28th 2016. The meeting would see election of new officer bearers for the Union along with other matters.
The AGM would be held at the National Resource Center in Woolford Avenue from 11am.Clubs eligible to vote at the AGM are Yamaha Caribs, Pepsi Hornets, GDF, UG Wolves, and the Police Falcons.
